Dairy Shed Technician - Whakatane

Bay Milking Equipment 2016 Ltd in Whakatane are seeking someone who is physically fit with a great attitude to join our team as a skilled Dairy Shed Technician.

Ideally you will be:
- good at fault finding and problem solving
- a positive person who can communicate well with customers
- able to follow instructions
- able to work independently or as part of a team.
- the holder of a current full NZ Driver License

Aspects of the job involve:
- Fitter/Welder
- Pumps, vacuums & effluent systems
- Mechanical knowledge
- Troubleshooting, fault finding & maintenance

You will predominantly be performing:
- commissioning, repairing and installing dairy shed systems
- rural repairs and maintenance
- general engineering and problem solving
- general pool & spa shop repairs and maintenance.

Dairy experience with a broad knowledge of on-farm systems and the ability to manage others will be advantageous.

If your application is successful you will need to be available to work away from home on occasion, and work longer hours when needed.

You will be required to be part of an on-call roster system (one in 3).
