Course Description

This one day course is an informal introduction for those who are new to the industry with little or no knowledge of the workings of milking machinery and associated components.

Who Should Attend

Shop staff, Admin staff, Dairy quality control staff, veterinarians, detergent company representatives, relief milkers and all companies engaged in selling milking machine rubberware, consumables etc

Why Should You Attend

Milking machinery can look complex and the names and terminology associated with them can be confusing. This course will help clear away some of the mystery and give you a solid knowledge base. This in turn will give you the ability to work in this industry competently.

It’s much easier when you know the different components of milking machines by name, how these components work and how they all interact to allow cows to be safely milked.

Course Content

Participants will learn: basic machine components, their function, layout of components in a farm dairy and basic physics relating to how the components of the machines interact.

Participants who successfully complete this online course will receive a NZMPTA Certificate of Achievement in Introduction to Milking Machines.
